Emergence

Yes, another hummingbird. To me this really represents hummingbirds. I loved how the hummingbird is emerging from among the blurred flower spikes to find the one spike in focus. This is from my favorite desert garden in San Marino, Ca. Canon 60D, f6.3, 1/320 sec, iso 640, 400 mm (100-400 ISL), over cast, about 75% of full frame. Your thoughts and suggestions are always welcomed. Sorry? There are more on their way....

Beautiful.  Sharp head and eye.  Nice wing motion. Love the colors.

Very nice Ed!  This has a wonderful splash of color, and it brings us into the hummingbird's intimate space. Well done!

Very interesting image, Ed. I like the color palette in the image. the sharper bloom on the left grabs my attention right away. The hummer is sharp and you got a nice wing position. The emergence of the hummer from between the oof blooms appears a little odd to me, but doesn't take away anything from the image.
