Lily Cram
Serendipity struck this morning in our garden. This is a new variety of day lily for us and I've already gotten some good images from it. This morning I got up a little later than normal and was afraid the sun had risen too high. There were in fact some harsh light and shadows so I went back inside and did some reading. On a whim I decided to go back out and to my delight the light was now filtering through some trees to our east and some low clouds made a fortuitous appearance. I also got a glimpse of the bloom through one of our butterfly bushes so a cram seemed possible. I spent the next 45 minutes or so working with the light and different POVs and various levels of cramming. I got a bunch of keepers and finally settled on posting this one. All comments welcome. >=))>

I like this a lot, Bill!  Your cram created lovely washes of color and a nice soft look to the petals of the day lily.

Very dreamy, Bill. Your cram images are always well done, and this is no exception.

Interesting exercise, balancing the cram wash, the plane of focus and the DOF.  I think you have done it well. I hope you are planning on showing some of the other attempts?

Nice pastels with nice highlights in the center yellows and very dreamy feel to this Bill.

Wonderful rhythms in the flower and variations in light and colour, Bill.  Perfect cram, allowing the forms of the flower to come through, and a fine composition.

Bill, I love the contrast between softness and sharpness. You are the Master of lilies. Splendid image.
