A Summers Dream

by Mark James Ford

Gallery: FloraPosted June 17, 201658 views7 comments
As promised here a shot from a poppy field in the south of France.  This was not meant to be a 'documentation' but rather a 'Summer Impression', light, airy, full of the colours and feel of summer, it is meant to convey the feeling of walking through a summer meadow ...

Sigma SD1 Merrill, Sigma 180mm Macro, F2.8, ISO 100, 1/250 sec.

A larger version can be seen HERE

Mark: I wasn't sure what to expect by looking at the thumbnail but what a delight! Brilliant POF/DOF choice and a marvelous result. 2 thumbs up. >=))>

Mark, I love the stark contrast of color saturation between the super vivid red and the low saturated yellow/green. An exciting image.

Impressionistic indeed ! I am usually attracted to dark images, but every now and then a high key image comes along that makes me stare for a while - this is one such case!

Beautiful, impressionistic image, Mark. However, I especially like the area in focus. devil

Mark, This does convey the summer feeling and looks like a dream. Delightful and artistic.

Great Vision Mark. Agree with Bill the thumb doesn't do justice to this expressive and original image. I really like the almost high key approach too....nice work.

Most everything I see here has been covered. I will note that the larger I look at it, the better it looks. This would look best in a gallery at an appropriate size and not on a tiny (in comparison) web page.devil
