Have you ever felt like hiding in the bushes when Mama is Mad, well evidently so does this male Anhinga. A shot from my Florida Spring Break Tour on the St Johns River. It was an overcast day as were many from this years tour, location was the back side of Hog Island where the Eagles hang out. Hand held from boat, 70% of full frame.

Something went crazy with the sky on the original post so I made an adjustment, does it help ?

Hi Mike
I like the first photo better.  Some time you just can not make the bird and the sky work.

Hello, Mike. Love the natural look and feel of the image. The subject get's the attention it needs. Well seen and executed. Cheers, Hans

The sky in the first image has a little more depth to it but there is more contrast in the second image. I am also kind of partial to the first image.

I kind of like the second image for the stark high-key look it give Mike. Nice job on the capture & processing!

I think I'm with the others that prefer the original presentation with the hint of blue in the sky, Mike.  Excellent work in either case with the strong calling pose of the female and a very strong composition.
