Danny: I have an almost identical image from the forest near Ecola Beach so this brings back some real nice memories for me. Its also a pretty darn good image. Most excellent. >=))>

I remember well the foxglove I found ten years ago on the Olympic Peninsula. There, it grew wild. Here we see it only as a garden planting. I like the detail in the larger version. Really quite good. You've done an excellent job with the color, keeping the plant in focus and keeping the background appropriately blurred. This composition is well made!devil

Excellent plane of focus and DOF management. Beautiful colors. Very nice!

That is stunning...and down-right pleasing to look at.  Wowsers.  Your processing and comp  of the fox-glove is unique and glossy!

Hi Danny, a wonderfully strong composition/format combination which is a real pleasure to look at. The colour palette works very well and the 'Oil Painting'-like PP is particularly effective with some wonderful retained flowing lines in the flowers - A real 3D feel. Not sure whether the bright patch upper left could be a touch darker (very much personal taste).  Like it very much as is!

Hi Danny,

Looks like a detailed painting--reminds me of an Andrew Wyeth painting.  Lighting and details are awesome devil............Jim

A spectacular catch on these foxglove blooms, Danny.  The clarity and color are wonderful, plus the background really sets them off beautifully.

This is lovely Danny.  You don't mention using any photoshop effects to create photo art, but there are several parts of the flowers and a leaf or two that look blurred/waved/softened/feathered....or otherwise enhanced.  Is this the case or are the textures and tones of the leaves and flower natural?
