Marsh Grass & Mud

I've been going through some of my old Olympus files and ran across this one from 2011.  Bayou Sauvage is one of my favorite avian locations nearby, but I haven't had much luck recently.  I liked the nice early morning light and the lead-in of the grasses toward the perspective of the rest.  Not sure why the ISO 400 and f5, but it might have been windy that morning.

The grasses look very nice, with lots of detail. My only suggestion would be to burn the sky a bit, especially the left half. I think hat would balance the photo a bit more.

I like the grass detail, color and lines. I also like the composition. The one detracting part is the sky. If you can pull some detail out of it that would be good or maybe crop most of it out.

Love the grass detail, color and patterns. I would be inclined to crop out much of the sky. It does not add anything for me.

First rate, Bill !  Love the perspective, the handling of the fg grasses and the pallor of the sky, which all add up to a sense of calm and spaciousness.

The grasses are incredible, Bill. I am also on the fence with the white sky.  Roel's suggestion to darken the left side may help.

I really lke this image Bill. The lines, textures and colors in the grass with the cracked mud at upper center is very nice. If it were mine I might crop out all the water and the sky leaving just the mud and grasses. just a thought...nice work.
PS...took a second look the crop I suggested just makes it too tight at the top....never mind sad
