Some snow this morning and rose-breasted grosbeaks were hitting the feeders pretty early this morning.  I used Topaz In-Focus to control some motion blur and there just wasn't enough light to go beyond f7.1. K5IIs 600mm f5.6 (1/90 sec at f7.1, ISO 640) full frame, levels, reduce saturation of green, Topaz In-Focus, Topaz Detail.............................Jim

A very nice image. Very simple. Well done despite some very mild softness. The colors are just really nice.

Nice pose, Jim, and a great job on the exposure.

Love the clean BG in this and the color contrast is perfect for this species Jim. Understand about the DOF, bummer and I don't know your equipment well enough to know it's limits, but was there a possibly of increasing your ISO to compensate so you could stop down a touch more?

Excellent, Jim. Great detail in the whites and blacks; never easy with this species. I wish the tail wasn't blurred but at 600mm that would require an aperture setting that was likely impossible.

Nice. clean,. simple composition.  The smooth green background compliments the wonderful colors on the grosbeak very well.
