Wave Machine

Ok, the title kinda gives this one away.  But I had fun anyway with some rapid fire captures.  This, like my other images in POP were from a recent visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  If you've been there, you know the setup here.  Throughout the aquarium they natural, and man-made tidal movement, wave generation, etc. etc.  This part the simulated waves crashing and the effects of the tidal areas is pretty cool.  Visitors can walk beneath with wave simulation about every 10 seconds or so as the water pours overhead, cascading down to a tidal aquarium.  Anyway, the kids have great fun.  I stood beneath and this was one of the better, random captures.

Of course processed to be the best it can be... ;-)

See large! And thank you for any comments.  Maybe more than 2?

Lon

ps. you're actually looking through thick class, as opposed to the water being on the outside, if that makes sense.  But that's part of the cool abstract - it looks like you're looking right at the waves coming down, and not through glass.

Cool water abstract!  I like the pattern and colors. No suggestions, looks real good as presented.

Lon: a very interesting abstract. Most times when I look at an abstract I think WTH and move on. This one however, draws me in. One alternative might be to crop the lowest portion that contains the dark material. That would leave you with a more uniform tonality of blues and whites. Nicely done. Richard
