Here is one from the same foggy morning, just a bit later.

Harley, to me it doesn't look like fog any more, but smoke. It looks like you've shot a forest fire. And I'm not sure why it looks that way. Mostly likely because it's so pervasive. If it were me I would burn in that left side of the fog to make those trees stand out more.

Ditto what Igor said, it has a fire/smoke feel. I like it!

You musta been lickin your chops this particular morning, Harley. I like this one a lot, maybe not quite as much as the last one, but pretty damn close. It does look like smoke and fire engulfing the white trees. Sweet work my friend.

Prefer this comp over the other. Winning!

Well, I have to say... you nailed this one! The large version is a must-see for all the fine detail. The tones in this are marvelous and the scene is quite dramatic. Well done, sir!

Both images are really amazing however I prefer the first one. I think it is just a matter of personal choice as to preference but I expect you to throw in some more to make the choice even more confusing. This does look more like smoke and fog but there is more detail in this image with respect to the trees. Must have been a lot of fun to see this all develop.

Man, this could almost be a fire scene... The texture in the fog are great and brightness really lets those two trees on the right stand out. Neat shot.

Harley,
Wow, how the mood, atmosphere and drama can change in just a few minutes, and from the same location. I love both these posted so far. The first more about contrasts, light and shadow. This one has similar traits, but it's the rising and swirling fog that really make this image for me. And even though the fog occupies a lot of space (it should btw,) I think the image is nicely balanced with the meadow grasses, the saplings and a hint of the bg wall.
I'd say you were having a field day at Leidig.

This is excellent - IMO even better than your last post. Great mood. I find those trees on the left surrounded in fog very compelling. Composition is well crafted and well balanced as-is. Having said this, I might try experimenting with minor crops off the right side to focus more weight to the left.

Really enjoying this fog series of yours, Harley! Wonderful work. Like Igor said, this one does have a look of fire/smoke than fog, but it still provides an incredible atmosphere :)

Wow, this is seriously nice work! The two lonely trees stand out against the background, and those ligther trees to the left are so nice. And on top of that the shapes of the mist too! No nits for me.

Man, this is a fantastic composition with magical atmosphere. I like it much more than the previous one, because or the depth, layers, and the more dynamic balance. Simply excellent!

Love this scale and comp Harley. The hint of BG is just right. Maybe a bit more contrast in the URC would help to add a bit more context to the abstract fog
