Old Oregon Barn

We have passed this beautiful old barn near Elkton, Oregon every time we have driven from N. California to our new home in Brookings, OR (monthly for 16 months). We are finally moved in.
The light caught my eye on this misty day.

Marvelous image, Sandy. I've moved to OR as well and like to look at the barns as I drive around. I particularly like those moss laden trees in the background. The branches coming in from the right frame? Oh well.

This comp is terrific.  You got the size and placement of the barn just right!  I see some barns centered and they look like a big wooden box in space.   This has more vibrancy and surrounding grasslands, trees, and hillside texture that crisply supports the old rugged beauty of the barn.  Well done!

I too like the placement of the barn in this composition .It  takes the viewer by the hand and does a walk about the barn and  then leads one out back.   With the lighting one can feel the mist.  A wonderful capture of the great old barn. Look forward to more from your new home.

Welcome back to the world of green!  There is a lot to love in this image: the various shades of green, the rusty roof, the diagonal hill in the fg and the fences pulling is through. Cropping or cloning out the lone branch might be a good idea.

Nice colors and comp in this one, with some good mist for atmosphere. Looks really green there in Oregon. I love the highlighted moss on the trees in the background. I'll look forward to more of your Oregon images.

Wonderful misty atmosphere Sandy.  The rusty roof is a nice contrast to the misty background trees.

A simple country scene but the light and comp really make it more than simple, well done Sandy.  I've passed up too many of these barns only to find on later trips the structure has either burned down or fallen down.
