Nice timing to get the crab mid air. Perhaps a little more sharpening of the eye?

You need to train the heron to bring the crabs to you... Very nice capture with excellent sharpness in the smaller image and a good BG. The detailed image is a little soft. What percent of full frame?

David, this is a large crop and I know the large version is a bit soft, but still, I felt, a good behavioral shot.

Wonderful action catch of the catch, Sandy!
I just wrote that it looked like the focus was a bit off, but then I saw your comment about the crop. I agree. The action makes this a keeper.
In front of your house, eh? I dig your new digs. :-)

Nice view from the new digs, Sandy. I didn't realize this species frequented the beaches. The action is great.

Nice timing on this one Sandy. Not easy to time these perfectly. I agree about the focus, but also agree the behavior is good enough to overcome it. Nice work!
