A shot from the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil last summer.  I hung this flower and put some sugar water in it in an area where there were feeders.  I used some fill flash as the light was fairly bright.
Canon 5D3 500F4 1/2500 F8, iso 800, Av mode, evaluative metering -0.7, 580ex fill flash at -1.3

Gorgeous composition, Nate, and the fill flash worked like a champ for this one.  Well done.

Expertly done and composed. Amazing to me how fast the wing beats are, that 1/2500 sec can't freeze them!

Nice pose, and good sharp focus on the head and eye Nate. Cool looking bird.

There is nothing to pick on Nate. The detail is superb, the background and composition are flawless. Your use of the fill flash is right on as usual. Amazing shot!  devil

Nicely composed Nate. Nice work! Looks like South America is a total blast. Hope to make it there someday.
