Thor's Hammer

Gallery: Man & NaturePosted April 16, 2016535 views3 comments
Lava from one of the latest Eyjafjallajokull eruptions (so I was told). It looked like a giant hammer hat cracked this block of solidified lava in the middle. And because this is very close to Thor's garden (Thorsmork), the title was somwhat obvious (though very cliché ;) ).

Why man & nature? There's a person standing in front of that thing, wearing a red coat. I really hope it comes through in this version, so make sure you view it large.

Thanks for looking!

Very difficult for me to see the person unless I open the detail view and then he/she is very visible.  I had no idea of the size of this scene until I viewed the detail view. Great title and excellent image.

It's good that you mentioned the red thing being a human, because that is hard to see. Makes the scale of this scene all the more impressive though. Very cool photo.
