This dove put on quite a show, opening and closing his tail feathers. Sorry for the softness....used a telephoto and was quite high up. But, I thought the colors and the pose were worth the post.

Definitely an interesting pose, Lucy. Is part of the tail blur from motion?

YES, He was squirming like a worm in hot ashes! I don't know if there were any females around to impress, but he was trying his best! I've never seen this before. I have photos of white winged doves at home "wing" dancing with one wing up facing each other (but, I got the impression that that behavior was a threat maneuver).
