Took this at the National Western Rodeo in Denver this past January. The venue could best be described as a dungeon in terms of lighting. This one captures the rider as he's fully laid out along the length of the horse. Nikon D4 70-200 lens, 1/320, f/4 and ISO 5000. Richard

Great Rodeo action shot Richard!  Peak action - especially like the way the cowboy is "laid out."

ISO 5000? looks pretty good for such high ISO!

Hey Richard,
Sweet action right down to the cowboy's hat hitting the ground. Very impressive how you managed enough detail in the crowd to see the reaction in their faces to further support the story this image tells.
Well done . . .  devil

This is a great action shot, Richard! You did a great job handling the lack of light and the focus point. Well done!
