My favorite eastern Columbia Gorge wildflower spot.  Balsamroot is peaking (so was the wind).
24-70mm at 28mm.  Iso 500, f16, 1/250sec.

Very beautiful and well executed image. Comp works well with interest throughout the frame. I would clone out that lens flare on the tree trunk beneath the sunstar.

WOW!!  This is superb Daniel.  The FG flowers are such an eyecatcher, as is the rest of the beautiful grass/flowers.  There appears to be a slight oversharpening halo around the smaller branches but it's minor. The processing of the grass/flowers is exquisite and the contrast is perfect there.

Talk about a wonderful spring feel. This is really nice Daniel and especially in the larger view where the foreground flowers really shine. I agree with Dave that cloning the lens flare spots on the large part of the tree trunk would be a good idea. Otherwise this is really well done. Nice work...I enjoy the feel very much.

Balsam is early this year! The backlighting looks nice and a nice sunstar. I might fade in the sky a bit more around the tree.

Sharpness looks great despite the fact that this is a single photo, lovely! The backlit scene looks great, and my only nit would be the flare that Dave mentioned.

Lovely light to accompany that wonderful sunstar and I love the crispness of the FG Balsamroot. My only suggestion would be to clone out the already mentioned flare. This is nicely done, Daniel.

Daniel,

Bright, brilliant and beautiful spring scene.  Excellent job handling the light and range.  Excellent comp too.

The only small nit is that at least for me, these seems just on the border of being crunch/over-sharpened?  It may not be, but I'm noticing mostly in much of the non-descript grasses and perhaps in the tree branches/leaves.  The balsamroot pedals look great though!

Beautiful and very well done. Those flowers in the foreground make the picture for me, I love this mix of colors and lights. Bravo!

Beautifully lit and very well composed, Daniel.  Your emphasis on the front cluster of flowers balances well with the tree and the sunstar.
