Youthful Enthusiasm

I was having a hard time thinking about how to show joy, when I remembered a number of views of the young Bison calves taken in early May 2014.  They truly looked like they were enjoying their new lives on warm spring days as they dashed about, kicking up their heels.  This view captures that sense.  (5D3, 70 - 200 f2.8 @ 200mm, f/8, 1/160s, iso 200, tripod) cropped to 70% FF.

Well timed to capture the exuberance (and joy) of youth, Mark.

Absolutely enjoying life.  Good capture of this moment.  Good example of this weeks theme.  Thanks for sharing.

That's cute! I like the way the adult bison are in the background -- their relative inactivity provides a contrast to the exuberance if the little guy. So does their color.

Excellent, Mark.  That calf almost looks like it's smiling.  A very nice job.

Pure joy indeed, Mark!  A fun capture and perfect for the theme.  The large version particularly nice and sharper than the small version.
