Eucalyptus Abstract

by Kathy Barnhart

Gallery: Photo ArtPosted March 6, 2016331 views7 comments
I started the project by taking photos of eucalyptus bark in a nearby park for the Weekly Challenge but I got carried away in Nik Color Effex and thought I should post in Photo Art instead.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Like this a lot Kathy.  I began taking tree bark for my texture folder and have gotten hooked.  Nice patterns and colors make a beautiful abstract.  Love it!

Eucalyptus like Manzanita,Madrone, & Sycamore has a very interesting bark pattern. I'm not sure what your original looked like but the pastels here are very pleasant. I too have looked at some of the bark images and thought about doing some transformations. Bark is very conducive to abstract imagery. This is a nice photo art conversion. I sometimes forget about Nik color effects Pro and all the filters.
