An image taken last spring. This is the shrub type of cinquefoil. For those unfamiliar with it, the flower is small, maybe about the size of a quarter. D600, 150 macro, f20, 1/20, iso 400. Suggestions, critiques, and other comments welcome. crying

Scott: Beautifully isolated and superbly captured. In the field I would have been sorely tempted to clip the leaves in the URC but that's a pretty fine nit. Well done.>=))>

Hi Scott,

Your comp is very nice with the water droplets and bright yellow flower in a green setting. There's an OOF small droplet that shows up as a bright white spot to the right of center.  It drew my eye away from the flower so reducing its implact by darken or cloning out the spot may strengthen the comp.......................................Jim

I will echo Bill, except to say a small crop from the right to minimize the OOF leaves.

I rather like the fullness of the leaves, Scott - they seem to provide a bed for the flower - so I find the comp perfectly ok.  Nice, subdued light too - a lovely image.
