Great light and sharp feather detail in the warbler Elizabeth. Nice head turn too showing the catchlight.

Just lovely, Elizabeth! I can see why you're enjoying your backyard birds! Beautiful light, great perch and nice overall comp. I like the 4 distinct geometrical shapes to the background, all variations of triangles with one tip cut off.

I've been away so haven't been seeing every single image that's been posted the past couple weeks, but this is the best IQ and processing I've seen from you I think. My only nit is the feathers on the breast and wing look just a little over sharpened (I would mask the offending areas off with a low-opacity brush rather than reduce the overall sharpening).

Nice work!

Hi Elizabeth.  I like your composition and you have a really nice pose with good eye contact.  Detail looks good, though in the larger version it is showing a few signs of over sharpening.  Your bg is excellent, though I am seeing quite a bit of color noise in it.  If you select your bg separately from the bird and perch, you can run some noise reduction on it without affecting the subject of the image.  Nice work.

A lot of things came together for you - perch, BG, light, head turn.  But that's the way it' supposed to work!
