Running Mouflon

As you may have noticed I photograph a lot in the "Hochwildschutzpark Rheinböllen" since it is close to my home. I have run also there a few nature photography workshops and it was during one of that sessions that I made this image. Many of the participants were unhappy with the weather conditions and I told them to try something different, like blurring.

Personally I like when the main subject in such a motion or action picture is moving towards the viewer. Actually that happens not so frequent since usually they run away from the photographer. In this case this female mouflon was running down hill and away from a male since it was in the mating season. Maybe he was not the right one cool

Canon EOS-3, EF 2.8/300L, F4, 1/30s, Sensia 100, tripod

Scanned with NIKON Coolscan 5000ED, Photoshop curves, sharpening, resizing, full frame

Nice catch of the running action.  I do think it is cropped too tight, a bit more room on the bottom would be nice IMHO. TFS

Nice capture, Cay-Uwe. I agree with John that the composition is a little too tight. I think the motion blur works well for you.
