These guys were shot, (camera-not rifle) on http://www.whiteoakpastures.com/.  We were there to get pictures of eagles that are raiding the free range chicken and turkey areas.  We saw at least fifty-seven eagles roasting in trees above the chickens, but never had an opportunity to see an attack.  "White Oak Pastures is a 150 year old multigenerational family farm that cooperates with nature to produce artisan products. We work hard to ensure that all of our production practices are Fair, Sustainable, and Humane. We never fail to conduct our business in an honorable manner, for the sake of our animals, our land, and our people who produce and consume our goods."

Elizabeth,

I find that the image is fine for documenting your explanation and the story behind. Unfortunately you have had not the best light conditions for the image and it is a pity that the feet are not in the frame.

Elizabeth,
Sorry I missed you and the other camera club members who made the trip to White Oak Pastures on my recommendation. Although you guys did not get the Eagle shots you had hoped for, just like true Photogs, you found other photo opportunities that made your trip more than worth while. This is a great image showing just how healthy these and all the animals raised at White Oak are from the farming techniques developed and implemented by Will Harris and his staff. I really like the way you used the trees to frame the shot and the layering of the two subjects.
Congratulations on the WP . . .  devil

Difficult light, Elizabeth. I think you did just about the best you could with it, but if the light is challenging enough it's nigh-impossible to get a really good photo.
