Exquisite, Morkel...as is your simple but accurate description. Beautiful work. Bright band at bottom might be a distraction for some but for me it doesn't make a dent in the overall impact and story...in fact it does draw your eye down to note the leopard's paws and register that there's nothing else to see down there so it allows immediate return to the gaze (for me anyway).

Oh my, what a moment to experience and capture.  Only possible improvement would be to slightly darken the light dirt strip on the bottom.  Just a magnificent image.

Love the low angle here. A soul piercing look!

Morkel,
Very nice looks like a big brute, where was it taken?
I think that a little off the bottom would not go amiss.

Excellent.  Rather than removing the bottom strip, I think I would just lower its brightness a bit.  In this case I really like the vegetation intruding on the right, yet still offering us a clear view of the main subject.  Great face.

What a magnificent cat and what an adventure you must have photographing these creatures.  I love that intense facial expression and the detail you have captured in this image.  I like the BG and grasses, but feel the bottom might be a bit darker, as previously mentioned.  I would not crop the image.  Congratulations!
