Trio of Troublemakers

I was fortunate to photograph these lion cubs in the Kalahari desert in December 2014.
They were part of a group of 7 cubs of various ages being cared for by a single lioness while the pride was on patrol. This place is one of the toughest for lions to survive in, but it's got it's own kind of beauty and allure.

Techs:
Nikon D810
Nikkor 400mm f2.8 VR-II
f5.6 | 1/1000 SS | ISO-640

Looks like the leader has already had a few skirmishes. Love the title, the composition and the selective focus.

Ha - this is awesome, Morkel! Both the shot and the trio of troublemakers themselves. You ended up pulling of a really decent comp that has a strong balance to it, with perfect techs as always and great mood. Really cool.

Hi Morkel,

I like this one...always tough to work with multiple subjects but by focusing on the lead kitten here (literally and figuratively) and having that "triangular" placement of subjects unfold for you...well this one just works. Great expression on the main subject too.

Nicely done...

Cheers...

Brad
