Hello Jagdeep.... Great capture, was the Leap captured ? Do you think he was testing the water for temperature or ?

Love the setting and reflection here. I'm trying to figure out if it could use some clockwise rotation, or if the contours in the rock face just give that illusion.

Hi Jagdeep,
Very nice you captured an amazing moment here. The reflection, the uplifted front paw, and the overall scene combine to make this one sing.
Two very minor technical nits. When I first looked at the image it instantly looked a bit off level (shots with reflections REALLY show leveling issues). I pulled some vertical guides in PS and confirmed the image was in need of a slight CW rotation - about 0.75˚. Second comment is purely personal preference - I think some selective work on the exposure balance here could make a big difference to the shot, such as pulling back the exposure about 0.5 stops on the water and the cliff face...might be worth experimenting with? Just a thought...
Thanks for sharing this one - nice to look at!
Cheers...

Loving the tense moment here, with the still reflection and the overall setting, Jagdeep.
Tiger pops nicely from the surroundings due to colour contrasts.

Pete: This was not from boat, but safari vehicle. This was the back-waters of Ramganga river, this tigress used to frequent this area.
Bill & Ken: I believe the tigress was indeed testing the temperature of water. Well tigress didn't jump, but gently slid into the water.
Brad: I tried to address your suggestions here. After giving it a hard look, I sharpened the picture selectively, leaving aside the cliff, as it is.
Thanks a lot n looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Jagdeep,
Your adjustments on the repost are subtle but collectively make a big difference and, at least in my opinion, the impact of the image has jumped significantly. If it were mine I would probably experiment with a further reduction in the exposure on the water (only) - not by much, but just enough to richen the colours slightly (so maybe 1/3 of a stop).
Nicely done...a fine image indeed!
Cheers...
