January 29, 2016 in Antigua in the Caribbean.  I set my alarm for 5:30 and trudged down to the beach from our cottage. After crossing the beach I headed up the hill to the road that leads to Devil's Bridge, a blowhole. This is also the best close location for the sunrise. By the time I reached the road it started to rain. I turned and started down the hill seeking shelter for obvious reasons. Halfway back down the hill, the rain abated, so I turned around went back up. I walked a hundred yards or so and the rain began to pound. I ran to this old food trailer and stood in the lee of the driving rain. I tucked my camera and tripod up into the remains of the canvas canopy and put my bag with other equipment on the tire. I tried to stand close to the trailer to avoid the rain, but all the rain from the roof poured down directly on me. Consequently, I stood about a foot from the trailer and got soaked to the bone. I could have wrung out my clothing I was so wet. Absent this food cart, my equipment would have been soaked.  Fortunately the rain abated and I was able to get a series of sun-rise shots.  I will post them on the Landscape Gallery.

Nikon D4  Nikkor 24-120  24mm  1/80  f/10  ISO100  RAW  White Balance Auto  Processed in LightroomCC2015, PhotoshopCC2015, NIK and TK.

While this photo is more about the story than the shot, thank you for your feedback.

Don't realtors call this "move-in ready"? sad  Cool old colorful shack and well composed image of it.

Harley,
While this could be considered "move-in ready", we are not sure by whom or by what.  Unfortunately the dilapidated trailer had a large chain and lock on it's door, or I would have moved in during the storm.  I will post a few another photo showing the scene through the window that shows the askew structural elements inside the trailer.

I remember daily summer thundershowers in Freeport where I worked for a very hot month in August, 1973. That was hot, followed by drenching, then lightning everywhere! Ah, to be young and stupid again!sad This reminds me very much of that occasion, except Grand Bahama was flat. Thanks for bringing back a memory, Patrick.devil
