The state bird of Illinois, and several other states.

(Please note that due to the state budget crisis Illinois can no longer afford a state bird, there fore all cardinals must leave the state ASAP until the budget situation has been corrected.)

Good job on the color John.  Just the right amount of saturation here.  Nice pose and it appears the Cardinal is well aware of your concerns about the Illinois budget.  It is my understanding this is a trendy problem and they now allow 1st grade classes to name the state bird.

That's all right, John.  They have six other states they can go to.  Nice job on this.  I like the color, which can be tough to get right as the software just doesn't seem to believe it can be as saturated as it really is.

Very nice work on those reds, John, and the dark green backgrounds work well. 

I thought Illinois had decided on the Jailbird, because of the governor conviction rate... You've already got so many that the added additional cost is negligible.

That Cardinal sure pops against the dark background, John.  The color looks just right.  I'm also enjoying the details in the branches hanging below him.
