Note: upon upload, I desat. the blue/cyan in the distant mnts. as it looked a bit strong.

The dominant thought I had during the hours I waited for clearing over these mountains in the interior of Iceland was "where are my touring skis when I want them."  But visiting in mid July, skiing wasn't initially on my mind.  That changed very quickly.  Another of the many moods from these mountains in the Highlands.  Fog, clearing, snow, all kinds of quickly moving weather and lighting.  A 2 image stitch, ISO 200, f8, 1/500 sec.  Hand held.

Impressive and perfectly rendered. Composition and how you handled and processed the light is very competent.

An excellent showcase for Iceland's attractions. I like how the mountains are nicely balanced between the slice of sky and foreground.enlightened

Yeah, the cyan thing was the first thing I noticed. Other than that this is sweet. The dark edge of cloud at the top is a perfect framing!

The only thing that would make this a better image would be a skier (like you) cranking out a tele turn on that snow on the right. sad

Here's the Less Cyan/Blue version.

I would agree Dave, that would have made for a better image and a lot more fun! Next time!sad

Harry,
This is very sweet. I like the way the top of the image is framed by the layer of dark clouds and at the bottom by the snow fields. These Icelandic mountain landscapes are amazing.

Harry,

While not as special as your previous Highlands image, this one is beautiful in it's own right.  I like the framing with the dark cloud up top along with the gently slope of snow at the bottom (sure, it could use a story-telling skier to get this in a travel rag..... but again, stands on it's own as a gorgeous alpine landscape.

I can see some cyan in the original, but at least for me is not really that noticable.  I would say more so in the foreground snow, but I was going to comment that I love the color of that foreground snow.  I think it's all in subjective and personal choice territory.  I like the original.

No nits really, this is beautifully captured and crafted.
