A herd of Wildebeest battling to climb the steep Mara river bank. This image was taken in Northern Serengeti during one of the Great Migration tours i hosted last year.

I really like this one! Very disappointed there wasn't a larger image to study.

Stunner, Mario...just a wonderful image and PERFECT conversion IMO. Frame-filling story-telling.

Mario: this is a fine capture and so aptly named. The high(er) key treatment is a good choice. Richard

Mario,
One of the beat B & W images I have seen in a long time!

Hi Mario,

I really like this one - just great. Love the chaos and jumbled bodies, the tonal range of the B&W conversion...inclusion of the water in the foreground...it all works together so well. My only suggestion (not a criticism!) is wondering if a slight crop off the top to remove the visible ground so that the image consists solely of water and wildebeest might strengthen it even further?

But this one is a really powerful exactly as posted. Well done!

Cheers...

Brad

Thanks to all once again for stopping by and commenting.

@Brad . . . I did think of cropping out the top section as you suggest. That empty gaps do bother me so I might just do that. Thanks <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"> </div>
