Hi all.

First I would like to say 'Thank you!' to Jim, the floral moderators, and for all of the kind words that have been said about my floral entry that was chosen as first place for 2015.  I was truly shocked by the choice and sincerely appreciate the support and kind words that I have received.  Thank you all!

Every year about this time, I go through my images and cull the ones that I know that I will not use, are blurry, missed focus, etc.  When I do that, I identify photos that I would like to process.  I have some of those that I would like to post now.

Any and ALL thoughts and critiques are welcomed.  Thank you!

Nathan

Hi Nathan, a lovely soft rendition - focus point for me is spot on with just the right amount of DOF. A tighter crop losing the single (orange) petal from the top and then a little from the left to retain 3:2 would be for me an even stronger image.
Cheers, Mark

Nathan, I like and agree with Marks crop suggestion. It makes for a simpler and stronger image, while still keeping the center of the flower at the lower third intersection. Worth a look to see, anyway. —Phil

Nathan: Ditto Mark and Phil regarding the crop but I like just about all things cram so this works for me as is also. Nice start to 2016. >=))>
