Down the Hatch v2

This is a photo I posted in the Wildlife Gallery a little while ago, with a slight crop for a better balanced composition. The previous version had more body showing in the upper right which put the head and the salmon more toward the lower left.  The extra body wasn't interesting enough to add to the scene so I figured cropping it would be an improvement.

This is a Sea Lion feeding on hatchery salmon at Valdez, Alaska.  When the tide is up, they come right up the stream after the salmon so it's possible to get quite close.

ILCE-6000, FE 70-200 F4G @ 121mm (181mm equiv.), ISO-250, f/6.3, 1/1000, hand held.

Excellent timing here, Gary.  There's some fine action in the water and falling off the fish plus excellent details in the seal's head and the fish.  I like your comp. also.

I like this crop better as well, Gary.
The peak of action is nicely captured and the large image is a "must see".
Well Done!
