Late Heron

1/13/16, Cheyenne Bottoms, central Kansas. I photographed this Great Blue Heron approximately 7 minutes after sunset. I was surprised that it stayed still for a couple of minutes, which is far longer than most. The color comes from eastern clouds reflecting the quickly fading light. 7D2, ISO 800, f/8, 1/40s, 300mm, cropped to format. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

I don't know quite what to say about this, except I like it! Charcoal and pink were hot color combos in my high school days!cool

Interesting BG/FG with respect to color.  It is different but it goes well with the colors of the heron.  I like it.

Very interesting image Rob. I like full reflection and the colors. Like Jim, I like the ripples from the tail piercing the water too. Well done!
