spider's signature

This is vanilla photo of spider web. Part of web is bright because of dewdrops. Composition is also plain ( centre weighted ). Could not decide on prioriy (either web or spider). So did the balancing act.The brightness is due to back light of sun.

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Venugopal. Excellent spider image. Love the symmetrical comp/design, and the bright, yellow body of the spider in the center. The web and spider stand out beautifully from the dark bg. devil

I have to agree with Scott - although it bucks against "rule of thirds" thinking, sometimes perfect symmetry works well and this s a fine example.  We have a similar species here (Argiope) but they spin only two "ladders" instead of four.

This composition works well, Venugopal.  It's hard to put the subject off-center in a asitiuation like this and there's really no reason to do so, since everything in the composition leads the eye to the main subject and that's the whole point of a well composed image.

Very well done.

X most definitely marks the spot, Venugopal.  Your focus on the spider and centered comp. look great and the details in the spider are excellent.  My one thought is, did you try a vertical, that would fit well with the shape in the center of the web.

Venugopal, The yellow spider stands out nicely from the dark background. Beautiful “signature” and web. Wonderful spider image!

Venugopal...Having made images of the same species, I know very well that this is a fine image...exhibiting completeness of the spider as well as its signature. The fine bg makes this stand out. The other vertical crop also works fine. Congrats on the EP.
