I liked this 170mm photo isolating a column of Aspen off 395 by the Conway Summit. Wish I would have used little more foreground, but liked the open structure of the branches allowinbg a peek into the interior. Actually would have like to hike in and get more images, but never having been there did not know if it was public or private.

Stephen, although I agree on maybe a bit more FG area, this is still an excellent image all around. Good detail, composition, colors, and truly a nice natural look overall......laugh

Stephen, this is a striking look at this group of Aspens.  You've created a good balance between the golden leaves and the white trunks.  I'm enjoying how the trunks are confined to the lower right 2/3rds with a nice surrounding of leaves above and to the left.  That sets up an interesting imbalance, that I think works well.  While I could see this with just a bit more foreground (so that the grassy area covers the whole bottom of the frame), I see that more as an alternate view as opposed to an improved look.  Another alternate view would be a bit more of the trees at the top.

Another alternative crop could be to use less foreground and more tree top.  I spent 10 years living in Colorado and the fall was always so spectacular because of the Aspens.  Nice image here.

Nice detail in the trees seen in the large image.
