2011 Revisited #4

Here's one from May 2011.  This little guy is about the size of a US dime and grow to about 6 inches above the ground.  Definitely lying on my belly in the dirt for these guys.  I used a black cloth for the background.

ISO 100, 150 mm macro, f/45, 2.5 seconds.

Comments always welcome.

A nice job on this, Steve.  A favorite flower of mine, though I can never seem to recall the name and I've never gotten this good an image of it.  Very well done.

I think this works pretty well, Steve. I normally would not go for all the negative space behind the flower, but rules are meant to be broken. The light on the flower is very good.

The comments I made on the next image apply to this one as well. A focus stack at a wider focal opening could probably give better detail. A pretty little flower, still.  What is its name?

Steve: Wonderful detail on this little beauty. I might be inclined to crop some of the negative space but not a lot. Well done.>=))>

Excellent portrait of a beautiful little flower but with delightful details and opposite colors. I love the photo and the trasgressive composition.
