First, thanks for all of the feedback from my recent Post.
I found this simple compostion during a hike above the Skaftafellsjökull glacial lagoon in Vatnajokull National Park. I was drawn to the texture, colors, and simple message it told. It seems impossible that the massive glacial sheets I saw could be something of the past.

The details and textures are very striking in the large version, Harry. I also like the visual tension of the diagonal flow of the glacial ice as the lines run counter to one another and those three pieces of ice finish off the image rather nicely IMO.

Very nicely seen and composed ... and the title is indicative of the circumstances of this image. Skaftafellsjökull? I hope you can pronounce that!

Harry,
Fantastic graphics and detail. Your composition really makes this a terrific image. Those "released" bergs (I guess) tell a great story. To me they remind me of some ships docked - one them a stealth submarine. Very cool (no pun intended...)
Well seen and beautifully captured. No nits or suggestions!

Very nice, I Iike the lines and texture to the ice field. The two flows add a nice balance. Possibly darken the black gravel, but fine as is.

Very nice, Harry. The title works wonderfully too, giving it a more political message, which I appreciate. I love the striations across the glacier. Really wonderful patterns to peruse.

Excellent combination of abstract pattern and depiction of the natural phenomenon/environmental theme, Harry.

I had the exact same thoughts when standing at this point and looking at the immense glacier. This is really nice, Harry, I like the textures in the ice. No nits!

What a place, I definetly gotta go sometime soon. Beautiful Harry, Love the blues scattered throughout and the docked ice chunks. I've been reading a bit about how the new government wants to exploit the highlands for the short term financial gain against the wishes of the majority of Icelanders. Hope it doesn't happen. Seems they would be killing the golden goose.

Very fine esp the composition of rock juxtaposing water. Only nit perhaps looks a little over sharp.
