Taken at Sugar Grove Nature Center in late afternoon.  Been trying for tufted titmouse photos, when I noticed this house finch setting in nice bright sun, but did not reduce ISO!

Beautiful light, great pose and composition. Wonderful clarity, sharp and crystal clear. A pleasure to view.

Excellent detail, John.  The iso 1600 worked nicely as I don't see objectionable noise and the light couldn't have been too bright if you were only at 1/500 second.  The bg is awesome-what is it?

I also am wondering what the background is? The colors in this image are great. The details in the finch are really sharp and I don't see any problems resulting from the high iso. Well done John! devil

Very nicely done John, great bg and the finch looks good, maybe a touch more room around the bird if you have it. devil
