I've been strolling through old memories and came across several photos I never processed. Here's one from July 2011 taken along a trail very close to home.

Steve,
I like the colors very much. All over the placement arrangement of the leaves and the berry work fine for me. I may have tried a bit more depth of field, especially on the berry.

Good jelly. Good bear food also! I like the colors and the dreamy focus. You could probably crop some from the top for composition.

Very nice, Steve. Great combination of colors. I like the bright green bg for the orange berry. My suggestion is to eliminate the bit of stem running vertically out of the top of the frame. I'd clone it out, or crop the top down to the "bend" in the stem.

Thanks for the comments! Cay-Uwe, I agree about more depth. I remember this was hand held in a fairly dark forest setting. I brought the ISO up to 1600.
Phil and Scott, thanks for the crop suggestion. Here's a new version.

I like this, Steve. Makes me yearn for summer, even though these aren't exactly my favorite berry. It sure looks tasty in the image. I like the green-on-green only relieved by the berry and the angle you used to place the leaves in the frame.
