Autumn Serenade

Mid October I've spent a week with Jacqueline Fellmann and Martin Mägli, two good friends and fellow swiss landscape photographers, in the wonderful Engadin. It had been on my "to-do-list" for so many years and I am so grateful that finally this fall I could make it come true. Also the weather has been perfect this week. though it didn't look to bright at first. When we arrived in Engadin on that friday morning it just had snowed the night before but it should be better soon. But first I had to spent a day in a snowstorm at Val Bever and then before the weather changed in the afternoon of the third day I'd spent the morning in thickest of fog....but finally the sun came through and the fall season showed itself from the best side. This image here I took on the first evening.

Nicely done.  Strong composition and very nicely balanced light and colors.  The snow feels like icing on a cake.

This is beautiful. When I first opened it up my first thought was, "I would really like to be there." The colors, light and feeling are great.

Bill,

What a gorgeous mountain landscape!  You've got it all, the autumn Larch (?) the lake and reflection, snow capped mountains and a dynamic and color sky.  This is composed beautifully.  No nits. Wish I was there too!

What a lovely landscape this is. The composition is nicely balance, and the color looks very natural.

Very nice light and compostion. My only nit is that feels a bit tight on the bottom of the image cropping right below the trees on the left, but not a big deal. Very nicely done.

Nice mountain scene Bill, the fresh snow looks great against the autumn larches.

Lovely, Bill. I love the orange tones in the conifers (larches?).  The clouds and snow just make for a very cool but calm and peaceful scene. I might be inclined to lift the tones in the mountain peak just a tish, but it's great as you have presented it.
