I'm not sure if this belongs to landscape or flora. These Watsonia flower were beautiful on the lower mountain slopes after some recent rains.

I like the colours in the image with the mountainous backdrop. There is a freshness to the scene which appeals to me.

Can be posted in either gallery, Willem. I like the perspective -  the way you got low and composed this to show the flowers and mountainous setting. I also like the lush greenery and rocks on the left.

Those are beautiful flowers, and you have captured a gorgeous color contrast. I would consider moving the blooms a bit off center, towards the left?

Willem, perfectly fine here in landscape.  Great presentation to showcase these beautiful little gems.  The critical element is the focus on both flowers and for that this works very well.  The rest of the landscape is soft (shallow dof,) but that's ok given your focus is on the flowering plant.

If I was to suggest anything, I would recommend dropping the exposure in the sky a little bit as the clouds are a little hot and on the flip side, perhaps a slight crop on the right since the foliage there is on the dark side with not much detail to be seen.  The rocks and grasses supporting the flowering plants look great together.

Overall, a nice job with this one.

I like the sharp flowers set against the soft background. It provides depth to the image. I concur that the sky needs to be brought down a tad to help isolate the flowers more.

I will wcho Lon's comments. The clouds do look a little hot, but it looks like there is detail tha could be brought out. I also agree with the crop suggestion. I really like the flowers, small bouldrer, and grass. The low viewpoint add a lot.
