The most frequent feedback on my previous moose images was a desire to see more environment around the moose so here it is! Since he was being very cooperative and unconcerned about my presence, I took a lot of different shots. The only thing I couldn't do was change my position so I was limited on the composition possibilities. This was the best I could get for a wide angle view.

Sony ILCE-6000, FE 70-200mm F4 G @ 73mm, ISO-100, 1/30, hand held.

Like this one also! Nice detail in the moose, maybe a bit more in the snow. The BG sets the scene for the moose very well. Thanks for sharing.

For me this is the best of the three you posted. The body language of the moose is great, and the landscape in the background is a great addition as well. Love how the brown moose stands out against the "B+W" landscape!

I like this very much, especially for the inclusion of the wintery landscape, giving us a sense of the scale of moose backyards! Techs look great.

Hi Gary,

Out of all the versions of this image you have posted, I like this one best! The environment really makes this a special shot. The moose almost seems to be surveying its territory. It screams Alaska. Thanks for posting this one!

Nice one. Excellent contrast between the warm brown of the moose and the coolness of the white snow. Also a great alert expression.
But, I didn't think there was any place around Valdez that had this much flat space........seems pretty vertical around there to me. sad
