Patrick,

This is an excellent composition; a beautifully seen and captured landscape.  I'm always grateful for those scenes next to the road. I believe it was Edward Weston (or was it Brett) who said: "Anything more than 500 yds from the car just isn't photogenic."  sad
At least to me, what matters more is that you were able to recognize the potential of this location.

You've got a two-fer here with both the s-curve and the lead-lines making for a solid composition.  The trees and slice of blue sky lining the top just make the comp even more solid.  One nit/suggestion is that to my eye, the greens in the pines are a little saturated. Not by much. but enough to comment.  The other suggestion is some selective burning of the patterns around the bottom portion of the image, both left and right.  again, minor though

Most of the time "drive-by" images just don't look the same once one stops.  This is an exception! Glad you stopped!

Excellent comp.. Having tried the same type of comp in Zion, it is not an easy one to pull off. Very well done!

The repost works very nicely for me, Patrick. I like the lines, and textures very much. The cooler sky and the trees add a nice counterpoint to the Redrock.

Repost is really nice with much better color.  Image draws one in.  Very nice comp.  Best image I have seen from you.

The leading lines and the curves work so very well to lead the eye back.  I could see upping the contrast of those lines a bit for a more graphic presentation, but that is purely a different point of view and very subjective.  Very, very nice.

Very nice! I agree that the repost looks better. If it were mine, I might come in from the left a little to  remove the bushes on the edge there. I might even do the same on the right to remove the greenery in the upper corner. But that might tighten things up too much.

Patrick, This is a nice looking image! I like the comp and how the use of lines leads one back through the image. Very pleasing to look at. The repost works really nice!

I like the reworked version. The leading lines are great to bring you back to the trees. Nicely seen.
