Female Northern Cardinal

I found this lady and her male friend this past Saturday morning after our first snow fall. I liked that she raised her crest for the photo op. Didn't have to do much to this, normal raw processing. I toned down some of the brighter areas in the background.

Utterly lovely, Steve. The soft light and slightly puffed out plumage really worked well, and you have it tack sharp front to back. Cap that off with some really nice sky and clouds for a backdrop and you ended up with a real winner.

This is a beautiful image of this Cardinal! Excellent detail, color, and bg. The ice on the perch makes this even better.
