Another shot from our Pantanal, Brazil tour.  This male Jaguar was stalking caiman along the riverbank.

Nate,

you manage to get a very nice setup of this jaguar, the light, the stare of the jaguar and its concentration is great. I just feel that the jaguar itself is a bit too much sharpen.

Thanks Cay-Uwe.  After downsizing I selectively sharpened with amount 130 and radius 0.1 in smart sharpen.  This is my typical setting and much lower than what I have seen many photographers use.  Perhaps the Jaguar being wet causes it to look more sharpened than normal.

The pose is wonderful.  I really like the mood established by the drama of warm but contrasty lighting for beautiful effect.

I love the light catching the eye and pose of of the jaguar. Perhaps it's my monitor calibration, but the green of the foliage seems a little over-saturated? Or perhaps that's just the way it looked? Very nice click!

Nate,

thanks for the clarification that the jaguar was wet, which explains my feeling of over sharpness devil

Really sweet light and great action pose. It tells the story because I knew what was happening as soon as I saw the image. Great shot.
