Brahminy Kite, juvenile

Here is the juvenile Brahminy Kite from Thailand, not as flashy as the adult but I liked the topside view.  This image was taken with the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary which is a really nice walk around lens, especially considering the price.  There are more images and a review of the lens on our website here.

Excellent, Nate.  I really like the bird's angle to you and it's tack sharp throughout.  Did you have to do any defringing with the dark primaries against the blue sky?  My copy has been really good with I think less fringing than my 500 prime (at least when I have the TC attached to the prime).

Thanks Scott and Dennis, Dennis, no I didn't do any defringing on this.

Nice shot. I like how it's angling towards you.  I appreciated your review of the Sigma lens.  You stated, "It goes without saying that the sharpness does not come close to a large prime like a Canon 500F4".  I would expect the quality to be much better if one were to spend the extra $8000, but the detail looks very good in this photo and the ones you had on your web site.  It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison between the two.

Very nice flight pose, Nate, and nice banking position.  Considering the economy price, this has great detail throughout.  Having switched to the 7D II from Olympus last year, I'm going to email you to pick your brain about your settings, particularly AF patterns for in-flight work.

Wonderful flight capture Nate.  I, too, like the position of the wings.
