In the recent past, Harley, Lon, and I, and our new friend Bill, spent a few days wandering about in Yosemite Valley. It was quite cool and damp, and there was snow on the valley rim and on Half Dome due to a storm the previous weekend. The result of this was decent flow on the waterfalls for early November, ice and frost formations to photograph, and more water in the Merced River. The Autumn color in the big leaf maples, ferns and grasses, and dogwood was very nice, but the oaks were drab due to stress from California's drought. The frosted grasses and morning mist in the meadows made for chilly, but exciting photography.
We had a grand time!
So, here's my first image from the trip. I will be posting my images in the order they were made. In lieu of titles, I'll simply name the images "Yosemite Details # - -, etc.. I leave it to you to imagine your own title for each image.
Details # 1
Nikon D-7100
Nikkor 70-300
TK's Masks
Please see the large version. Thanks!
Your thoughts are always appreciated.

I can see how the abstractness of these can be a bit of a mystery for those not familiar with the subject. So I guess for me it's not so much abstract as it is just a great capture and isolation of the falls. What is most appealing to me is the whispy nature of the icy spray that fans out from the main stream. The ice appears more like whispy clouds than anything else.
Beautifully seen and captured buddy. Processing spot on too.
