Mesquite Dunes, DVNP

Sand dunes are one of my all time favorite subjects and picking comps with my longer lens is one of my favorite and most enjoyable activities. This was from my second visit to the dunes on our most recent trip and I was a little lazy on this morning and didn't get as early a start as I should have. As a result finding areas without footprints was a bit of a challenge but I did come away with this from a relatively unexplored area. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill, you're love of the dunes shows once again, with excellent details in a fine, inviting comp plus very well handled brightness.

Looks like a place to spend a looooong time walking around with the camera! Such magnificent patterns, they never cease to amaze me. Very nice capture of this scene!

I really like this image, the lack of most color ane the few areas of fade to white. Nice duneage.

I also enjoy hunting with the telephoto to isolate an image.  Love the composition, the forms and textures, Bill, well done. I see three or four small specs along the right side you might consider removing, but still love the shot.

I'll just echo what others have said about this image, Bill. Like everything about it and the main subject. Not sure if you are aware but there have been several flash floods in DV recently and Lake Manly has made another appearance. Many roads have been closed including everything south of Badwater. Hoping that the rain continues and that the spring is colorful... and that they get the roads open before I head down there in March.

Simply WOW Bill...stunning piece of art. Love the subdued tones and the Composition is rock solid. the way the details are layered right to left...or left to right...whichever. I've been gone for awhile so I'm sure I missed some but this may be my favorite of your landscapes. This is the kind of art I like on my walls. Awesome...!
