I liked the layering of trees and shadows.

The starkness of this scene is a real draw, Harley. We're so use to looking for the colorful, the absence of it can be just as impressive. Excellent work on timing this image with perfect "lack" of light too.

The varied layers of light and shadow, color and textures work very nicely. The splashes of yellow add nice warmth to your well-balanced composition. Nicely done, sir!

Those trees stand out very well in this comp. I just might be inclined to isolate a smaller stand with a zoom. The upper layer of pines and aspen are not nearly as interesting to me as the near ones.

I like this one as it is, but I think a pano crop of approximately the middle would actually work better for me. The yellow trees standing out from the "empty" trees is a really nice feature!

I like that the light here isolates the aspen stand leaving the foreground and background dark. I also like that your chosen comp gives the feel of the considerable space that this stand of aspen occupies. The layers are the story to me and the smattering of color is a very nice bonus. Keep em coming Mr. Harley.

Hi Harley,
I really enjoy this image as is, but I have cropped off a bit from the top, and love it. I pretty much cropped out the pine trees up top, as others have mentioned, and the image feel so very interesting in this way. I really enjoy how those Aspen are just chilling amongst their friends with the last splashes of color. The light and shadows are very nice and work to compliment each other.
Fine work

This is quite a complex but very pleasing image. I count seven horizontal bands of color & texture intermixed with regular patterns of vertical trees and splashes of color. Could be viewed as abstract...

Harley, This image has a feel that I really enjoy. All the layers work great and I especially like the light and shadow. It works well just as is for me but I also see the lower 1/2 working as a totally different image. Nice work Harley!!

The close stand of aspens with the few leaves is particularly nice. There's a wonderful composition in there to be had with some cropping or a longer lens.

Harley, this is truly stunning. The layers of light and line are simply exquisite. Print this one big.

I really like the subtle colors and textures in this one, and the sense of space. I think the crop works just fine with all the layers, a more panoramic crop would lose those.
