The lake was kicking up a beautiful early cold morning mist to go with the changing aspens.

Man, I love those tall aspens you have in the West (reminds me of the ones Gary Phillips posted a week or so ago). They go great with the tall, thin spruces (or firs?). The trees are placed as if by a master of Japanese flower arrangements, just waiting for artful light, which you obviously found! The morning light making the aspen leaves glow and reflect off the water through the rising mist creates a scene both peaceful and spectacular in a quiet way.

Love that morning light Harley. The mist rising off the water is an added bonus especially the glow.

I love the light in this scene (which you captured perfectly) and the mist adds mood and mystery. The combination is very powerful, Harley! Very nice shot

Beautiful, Mr. Harley. You tamed the highlights in the yellows perfectly and the mist rising off the lake mutes the reflected colors in a pastel like light that is very pleasing. Nice job and the coffee wasn't bad either.

Love those beautiful Aspens and how they seem to be peeking through evergreens and floating above the mist. Just enough details and reflections in the lake and shoreline to keep the lower part interesting. This has a great sense of inviting mystery, Harley.

Wow, those reflections going through the mist certainly have a very special atmosphere to them. I find them to be very captivating! Absolutely no nits for me.

Hi Harley,
The reflection of color in the mist is just wonderful, and you have framed up the aspen tress perfectly in this cpature. These kind of scenes are such a wonder to enjoy first hand, and go back and enjoy some more, wonderful work!!!

Real nice, Mr. H! I really like the mist, the reflections and the aspens peeking through the darker forest. I agree that slight reduction of the cyan would be nice, but that's minor--this works!
