Fall cascade

Taken at Diana's Pool in Chaplin, CT.  I was drawn by the green designs at the top of the cascade, but enjoyed the backdrop of the flowing water and the foreground of the reflection.  Taken with Canon SX50, F5.6, 1/50 sec., ISO 200.

Thanks for looking and leaving comments.

This is beautiful, Patricia.  The pattern/color changes from large patches at the bottom, to graceful swirls in the middle, ending with the nicely sharp white water action at the top are excellent.  Very well seen.

Patricia, I really like this.  The three different layers of color and texture here create a beautiful composition.

Beautiful mix of colorful waves.  The upper portion of water seems to contrast too greatly with the wavy water, which I think is the strongest part of the image.  I might have tried to compose without the top portion, or crop it off and keep th bottom 3/4 of the image.  The other hot spot of a white oval a little distracting.  Nicely seen and realized!

Very nice Patricia.  Love the color at the bottom and the "flow", if you'll excuse the pun, at the top.

Wonderfully creative image. Just goes to show you that you don't have to shoot water with a slow shutter speed to make it attractive. It's a great abstract with a lot of color and vitality. My first impression was that I'm seeing green vegetation below the water in the lower left section. Is that right or are those reflections. Aside from all the colorful swirls I find that corner to be most interesting. A crop from the top would unbalance the composition imo and make the image bottom heavy. There are a few white specks floating around that need cleaning up but no biggy. This is a most excellent image imo.

Great water patten and colors. I might be inclined to crop off the bottom 1/6, eliminating the darker leaves. Or perhaps futher blur them. That said, it looks great as presented.

I'm with Harry on this Patricia... I'd be tempted to crop some of the top off although others are seeing it differently so maybe it's best to leave it in place. Nicely seen and realized.

I agree with Mark, this is beautiful.  One of the best images of this type I have seen.  Like the greens along the front.  Another good photo with a PS SX 50.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Patricia,

A very creative scene, and excellent vision in seeing this image. At first, I wanted to crop this from the top, but the balance is off to me when I play with that crop, so I like it as is, and think it is sweet little intimate capture! The patterns and colors are what really win me over.

I really enjoy the colored swirls in the middle.  One suggestion may be to crop down just a little to remove the orange rock? on the top edge and clone out the larger white spot along the bottom.
